2mm thick titanium wire laser welded to form a rock resembling shape. An empty vessel taking shape in the style of a ring.
Railways explores the organic shapes experienced during a time of mourning. Time eroding solid forms and memories filling empty vessels. Conceptually inspired by the shape of rocks found with railway lines; titanium wires take shape of a rock but never hold a solid form. Mourning is a journey where solid forms are replaced with memories; the ring holds significance to the wearer but unseen by observers.
